BIG shout out to @fish_vizion for giving this film a beautiful naturalistic look. Sometimes less really is more... we strategically planned every scene based on the sun’s position during the day... it was strenuous but I’ll be damned if it didn’t pay off! Yeeee buddy!

2017 - I started this project with five bucks in m 2017 - I started this project with five bucks in my pocket and a ragtag group of friends. We did everything that young filmmakers do to get the shot... like sitting on top of a moving car and blocking traffic. It’s fun to be naïve and break the rules. As budgets become bigger, it’s easy to lose sight of those times when you’d just press the record button and let your instincts take flight. ANYWAYS, the wheels are spinning on development. Here‘s some frames from what we shot back then...

“A Violent Dance” will tell the true story of “A Violent Dance” will tell the true story of Grant Neal, a promising football standout whose dreams were crushed when he was falsely accused of raping his own girlfriend. She told school administrators repeatedly that he did nothing wrong. They expelled him anyway. Two years later, the investigation was found to be wrought with "racial bias and inaccuracy." Grant was never charged in court for rape or any other crime. However, the damages to his reputation and lifelong dream were already done. Instead of giving up, Grant turned his attention to MMA and was taken under the wing of veteran Nate "The Great" Marquardt. He then led an unprecedented amateur career by racking up six straight wins, including several title fights. He continues to be undefeated after turning professional with a remarkable 46-second submission victory.
